Eat, pray and love with Julia Roberts.
We all dream of having a different, more exciting life some days but most of us don’t do anything about it. Elizabeth Gilbert (Julia Roberts) had everything a modern woman is supposed to want – a husband, a house and a successful career, but she wasn’t happy. After divorcing her husband she begins a new relationship, only to find she still isn’t happy. After realising she is always in or at the end of a relationship, Liz decides to make an even bigger change and take some time to herself.
But instead of a couple of rom-coms and a tub of Ben & Jerrys or a trip to a swanky spa, Liz takes herself off on a trip around the world. Determined to do something different, she visits Italy, India and Bali on a quest for self discovery and happiness. In Italy she discovers a passion for food which she encourages rather than limits. In India she learns of the power of prayer and spirituality and finally (and unexpectedly) she finds true love and inner peace in Bali.
You might think this tale sounds too perfect to be true, but the film is actually based on the real-life memoirs of Elizabeth Gilbert. And who better to play a strong woman searching for something than Julia Roberts, whose role in Erin Brockovich touched millions of women. And with fragrances, fashion, furnishings and jewellery based on Eat Pray Love on the way, it seems that this film will be a huge summer hit. So we’ve taken a look at Julia’s laid back travelling style, and there’s nothing we want more than her stylish sunnies.
When visiting Italy, India and Bali you’ll need a simple pair of sunglasses that are strong enough to survive the journey. And so Liz chooses trusted favourites, the Ray-Ban Aviators. But she doesn’t go for the traditional gold or silver frames, instead choosing the slightly edgier (and more stylish we think) black ones with matching black lenses. Grab a pair of black Ray-Ban 3025 sunglasses and start your trip.
