Find your very own meadow in a cute yellow cardigan like Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Bella manages to brighten up the usually dreary Forks.
As we’ve seen this week, the costumes for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have changed once again as the saga’s characters evolve. Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) looking grown-up but still dressed like a teenager, Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) t-shirts finally fit him and Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) testing out a softer colour palette. In Twilight she was adjusting to the dreary cold weather of her new hometown, Forks, so we saw plenty of coats and jackets as well as those cute mittens. Costume designer Tish Monaghan described Bella as a “girl who was a little bit misplaced and ill-prepared coming from Arizona to the Pacific Northwest.”
In New Moon Bella’s outfits reflected her depression after Edward left, and more earthy tones to match with Jacobs. Tish confirms: “when she’s happy and in love with Edward, she wanted to be linked colorwise to his world, the cool tones. When he leaves her, she kinda falls into disarray and gets sloppy and just throws on any old thing. But the any old things that we threw on her were in the earth tones [of Jacob’s world]. We didn’t bring back her cool color palette until she was encountering Edward again.” Although Jacob’s still fighting for Bella, it seems she’s keeping her colours tied to Edward for the third instalment in The Twilight Saga. Gone are the dark and dreary colours for the most part, and she’s opting for a much lighter, romantic look. We’ve already admired her purple plaid shirt and now we’re checking out her lovely yellow cardigan.
On Bella’s New Moon costumes, Tish said: “I wanted to continue the look that she was a very practical girl. She didn’t dress to entice, she threw on a jacket if the weather was cold, she layered up because she probably gets colder than the average girl from that area.” But it seems Bella’s losing those layers and getting ready to entice her new fiancé Edward. The actual cardigan seems to be a J Crew cashmere number, and while we never pictured Bella as a cashmere girl we think it looks lovely on her. With her sparkly new engagement ring and loved-up smile, she looks like one happy girl.
The Cullen’s have kept their cool greys and blues, and while Bella often matches this we’re seeing her in a lot more feminine pastel shades. Could this reflect her growing up and making big decisions, like the one to get married? Or is she just dressing for summer? We think a bit of both, but either way we love her simple, summery look. We’ve found some great lemon coloured cardis online, just add skinny jeans and a white cami underneath for a look worthy of Bella Swan.
