Celebrate Twilight Night in style.

When production started on Twilight, no one could have known quite how big the franchise would become. Screaming fans, constant gossip and sell-out midnight screenings are just some of the symptoms we’ve seen so far and with the third film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, hitting theatres next week it doesn’t look like it’s stopping. Fans spent the week camped in LA for last night’s premiere and members of the always grateful cast even showed up to meet them beforehand. In Eclipse Bella (Kristen Stewart) is forced between her vampire boyfriend Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her werewolf best friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner), whilst also being hunted by both an army of newborn vamps and the creepy Volturi!

Always eager to please the fans, the films studio, Summit Entertainment, has declared this Saturday (26th June) ‘Twilight Night’ due to the lunar eclipse being so close to the release of Eclipse. They will host 12 events throughout the US where fans can watch the first two films under the stars and meet some of the cast. They say the events are the “perfect chance for those new to the film franchise as well as moviegoers in general to immerse themselves in The Twilight Saga phenomenon just in time for the highly anticipated theatrical release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. But what if you don’t live in America or can’t make it to one of these events? Host your own Twilight Night at home and have some fun in the run up to Eclipse.

We thought hard about what you’d need to throw the perfect Twilight-themed party, and we think you’ll have a lot of it around the house. Obviously you’ll need to decorate with red and black ribbons or similar, and add an Eclipse poster for extra excitement. If you haven’t already got them pick up the four original books by author Stephenie Meyer and create your own trivia game. Obviously you’ll need the first two films too, so make sure to get the 2-disc editions so you can watch all the extra features.

If you feel like going all out for your party try making some Twilight themed food; red apples (obviously), red drinks, mushroom ravioli or even a recreation of Bella’s New Moon birthday cake. We’ve even found some amazing Eclipse paper plates to add a bit more Edward, Jacob and Bella to your meal. And if you’re planning on stepping out in the sunshine or moonlight, add some Luna Twilight ‘First Light’ body glow for a sparkly vampire look! Don’t forget to light the room or garden with plenty of candles (red if possible) and enjoy Twilight Night!
