Reminisce with our favourite retro childhood TV tees

Enjoy a bit of nostalgia with these retro TV shows.
Vintage and retro are two words that can make something instantly cool. Whether it’s an old car, thrift store find or b-movie, we all know that stuff from the past eventually becomes cool again. And Hollywood is well aware of this. You only have to look at the box-office right now to see the remakes and re-imaginings like The A-Team and The Karate Kid taking over. And it’s not going to be over this summer, as everything from retro games like Battleship and Monopoly to The Smurfs are getting the silver-screen treatment.
We’ve been inspired to cast our minds back to some of our favourites, and we were amazed at how many cool t-shirts we found online. We found a couple for one of the longest running kids show of all time, Sesame Street, with our favourite saying: ‘Everything I know I learned on the Street’. And it’s so true, it was one of the first shows to mix entertainment and education, and the puppets will always hold a special place in our hearts – whether you’re more of an Oscar the Grouch or Big Bird!
And we found some adorable one’s featuring Snoopy, the loveable dog from long running comic strip and TV show Peanuts. And some very cool one’s featuring those heroes in a half-shell – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We’d like one with journalist April one (she was always our fave) but we’re grateful that it’s the original cartoon turtles rather than the updated CGI ones.
And for US customers there’s a pretty cool Garfield shirt, asking the question that’s on all our minds right now – ‘Is it Saturday yet?’ Nope, it’s not yet but it’s not too far away! And we even found a fantastic Inspector Gadget tee; wonder if it has any special powers? Go go gadget t-shirt! Maybe not. Whether it’s Rainbow Brite, Sooty, Superted, The Raccoons or the Gummi Bears, show your love of all things eighties with these cool retro tees.
