eBay find: Megan Fox's bloody gloves from Jennifer's Body
Posted by Team Boxwish about 21 hours ago
However trendy the goth girl look is right now, clothes covered in blood are seriously unlikely to catch on with the mainstream. Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) championed the look back in the 1976 Stephen King horror and it didn’t work then, however that hasn’t deterred Megan Fox from having a go, the Transformers actress getting a blood bath in new comedy/ horror, Jennifer’s Body. Not that she’s an innocent bystander in all the bloodshed, nope, Fox’s Jennifer is the one causing it all and she wears the results of her carnage with pride, her prom dress outfit getting well and truly trashed. And we’ve spotted the blood-spattered opera gloves she wears with this outfit for auction online, making them week’s eBay find.

Original screen costumes on display at Gone with the Wind exhibition
Posted by Team Boxwish about 22 hours ago
70 years ago audiences first fell for the spirited love affair between southern belle Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh) and certified scoundrel, Rhett Butler (Clark Gable), and now, as the American civil war classic makes its Blu-Ray debut (out on 16th/ 17th November here in the UK and here in the US) it’s a great time to relive the splendor of the multi Oscar-winning epic with a trip to the Gone with the Wind exhibition. Having opened in April, this fantastic showcase is hosted at the Hollywood Boulevard Cinema in Woodridge, Illinois and features the Shaw-Tumblin GWTW Collection, which boasts the distinction of being the world’s largest collection of GWTW memorabilia – definitely worth giving a damn about.

Never have big screen bloodsuckers looked as good as at the moment. For ladies to lust after, there’s perpetual 17-year-old Edward (Robert Pattinson) in Twilight and its sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and for guys, there’s none other than FHM’s sexiest woman in the world, Megan Fox. The Transformers siren flashes her fangs as the titular Jennifer in comedy/ horror, Jennifer’s Body which is out this week in UK cinemas. And we just love this tie-in tee that celebrates the tongue-in-cheek terror of the movie, “I Eat Boys”.

Get named in the credits for Paranormal Activity
Posted by Team Boxwish about 24 hours ago
When you look back on the year that was 2009 there are some movies that you knew would make a ton of money (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Up), others that exceeded expectations (The Hangover, Zombieland, Paul Blart: Mall Cop) and those that just came from nowhere and in that last category is supernatural horror, Paranormal Activity. It’s not out in the UK until the end of the month, but stateside has been a sensation, the low-budget ($15,000) chiller taking nearly $87,000 so far, making it the biggest earning independent ever, overtaking the similarly filmed, The Blair Witch Project. This runaway success has been built on viral marketing, Paramount Pictures encouraging fans to “demand” the movie show at their cinema and they certainly answered in their numbers. And now to maintain this audience interaction, the studio is inviting people to submit their name for inclusion in the credits of the movie’s DVD release.

Fashion fix: Vintage Nathan Turk western shirt from Superbad
Posted by Team Boxwish 1 day ago
Back in 50s showbiz circles, if you wanted a western shirt you went to Nathan Turk. He included the likes of Elvis Presley and Roger Rogers among his celebrity clientele and now, years later, his clothes have now become much sought after vintage pieces with Hollywood still happily flying this fashion flag flag. And one such example of Turk’s retro stylings turned up onscreen in 2007’s comedy smash, Superbad. It’s the blue western shirt as modelled on Jonah Hill’s character, Seth and though this exact one is no longer available, we’ve tracked down a lookalike that we think is sure to have all McLovins drooling with jealousy.
