Posted by Team Boxwish 1 day ago
Another month to go until the big screen return of self-proclaimed king of the world, James Cameron with his mighty sci-fi epic, Avatar and gradually this most tightly protected of projects is becoming more and more visible. Just earlier in the week, we told you that Brit belter Leona Lewis is singing the soundtrack song, “I See You” (see Related Content, right) and now we’ve sniffed out a competition that offers you the chance to attend the Avatar world premiere in London on Thursday 10th December. Not that it’s just as simple as you filling in your name and hitting “go”. Oh no, where there’s James Cameron there’s detail and lots and lots of fun. Read on to find out how to enter.

Posted by Team Boxwish 1 day ago
Better late than never, eh? In September, we reported on the US launch of the new make-up range inspired by The Twilight Saga and here in the UK we’ve been patiently waiting, waiting until the cosmetic goodies would cross the Atlantic and be available in Blighty. Well, it seems that our good behaviour has paid off as online retailer Simple Beauty has announced that it’s now stocking the make-up. But act quickly Twifans, as the site warns that there’s only limited stock available!

Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter kick off Tim Burton event
Posted by Team Boxwish 1 day ago
Calling all Tim Burton fans! A few weeks back, we told you about the upcoming exhibition that looks back at the director’s showbiz career and on Tuesday it kicked off in style with a benefit dinner at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). In attendance was the man of the moment himself, along with his partner and frequent star of his films, Helena Bonham Carter, who, dressed in a black gown, boots and with messy bed hair looked like she’s wandered straight from the set of one of his films. Also rucking up to support his longtime collaborator was People magazine’s newly crowned sexiest man, Johnny Depp and he and Helena hosted the event which also boasted among its glamorous ranks Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga), iconic Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The Hollywood sign named most problematic L.A. filming location
Posted by Team Boxwish 1 day ago
Celebrated and recognised across the globe as the home of the film industry, Hollywood and the wider district of Los Angeles isn’t always easy for filmmakers to shoot in. As film crews head to places like Vancouver and Chicago, both famed for the tax breaks they offer productions (incentives that have worked their magic on the likes of money-spinners such as The Dark Knight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon), the sprawling Californian city has sometimes struggled to hold onto the dream factory it’s known for. Films like 500 Days of Summer have recently done their bit to put L.A. back on the movie map, featuring sights such as the Bradbury Building and the Barclay Hotel, but of all the local hotspots that challenge filmmakers the Hollywood sign has been named the most problematic in a new survey.

Steal Edward's look: His hair secrets from The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Posted by Team Boxwish 2 days ago
Last week, we snooped around the chic wardrobe of The Twilight Saga’s gentleman vampire, Edward (Robert Pattinson) stealing his style and now we’ve got the lowdown on his clothes, we’re turning our attention to his hair. Oh, the hair. When it comes to Edward seemingly nothing matters more in his look than his hair. Stephenie Meyer fixates on the bronzed barnet of the Cullen heart-throb throughout the books and fittingly, it was sculpted and showy in the first Twilight film, with Robert even joking recently that “in a lot of ways the hair is 75 per cent of my performance.” Back then it was head hairstylist Mary Ann Valdes and Beverly Hills salon owner Stuart Gavert making the decisions, but this time around, for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, key hairstylist Thom McIntyre is calling the shots and wielding the scissors…
