Facebook Connect puts you in Fight Club

It’s been ten years since Fight Club, incredible huh? Not that you’d know it from the depressingly youthful Brad Pitt (and he even has a small army of children to look after – no fair!) or how cool and on-trend his Tyler Durden still is (check out our guide to stealing his style at Related Content, right), but ten years it truly is and to celebrate the David Fincher drama is making it’s Blu-Ray debut (get it here in the UK and here in the US). And in case you needed reminding of just how cool it is to hang with Brad and co-star Ed Norton, check out the movie’s awesome website that uses Facebook Connect to put you in the thick of the fight.

Unleash your inner Batman and nab a part in new superhero movie

Ever gotten a little too carried away when dressing up as Batman for Halloween? Found yourself pretending to be Wolverine when hitting the weights at the gym or growing a goatee like Tony Stark? Yes, we feel you, Boxwishers. Superheroes are by their very definition pretty special, super even and who wouldn’t want a piece of that? Superman even makes wearing red pants over blue tights look cool and that’s no mean feat. Well, it could be time to unleash your inner comic book character as Scottish production company, Strange Boat Productions is currently working on a new superhero movie called Electric Man and is looking for people to invest in the small-budget project, for which they’ll score an appearance in the film.

Is the British poster for Couples Retreat racist?

Forget the lapping waves of the Pacific Ocean as tropical rom-com Couples Retreat is in hot water. The flick which looks at the holiday hijinks of four couples as they head to an isolated South Pacific resort boasting special “couples skills building” has come under fire for removing two of its black actors from the British promotional poster. So, let’s examine the evidence, Boxwishers. One look at the US poster (pictured left) reveals four couples: Vince Vaughn and Malin Akerman, Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell, Jon Favreau and Kristin Davis and Faizon Love and Kali Hawk, however the British one (pictured right) has somehow lost two of them, its numbers dwindling to just six. And it’s not just visually that the black performers are omitted, as their names have also been cut.

Fashion fix: Gala long red leather gloves from The Twilight Saga: New Moon

On her trip to Volterra, Italy in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene) is clearly taking a leaf out of Ron Burgundy’s book with her wardrobe choices. What are we talking about? Only that we’ve spotted that the pint-sized fashionista is indeed applying the 70s anchorman’s (much misunderstood principle) of “when in Rome…” by sporting a pair of gloves from Italian luxury label, Gala. Famed for their commitment to prestige and past production techniques from yonder year, the brand isn’t a regular on the big screen but that hasn’t deterred ballsy bloodsucker Alice from wearing a stunning dark red pair in the Stephenie Meyer romance sequel. And while they can be hard to track down (maybe we should get New Moon’s skilled Volturi vampire tracker, Demetri (Charlie Bewley), pictured, on the case!), we’ve rustled up some more accessible lookalikes.
