Steal Rosalie's look: Her make-up and hair secrets from The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Posted by Team Boxwish 8 days ago
Actress Nikki Reed who plays the gorgeous Rosalie in The Twilight Saga had a hard time when it came to styling her into the image of the pouting Cullen sibling for Twilight. Why? Because she had to dye her naturally brunette locks blonde for the role, a process that took 36 hours and resulted in her hair falling out. Understandably, Nikki was loathe to repeat this for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and having been very vocal about what she perceived to be mistakes in the Cullens’ styling in Twilight, she and her fellow immortals are now working a revamped (ho!) look in New Moon.

Triumph to produce replicas of Marlon Brando's leather jacket from The Wild One
Posted by Team Boxwish 8 days ago
It was back in 1953 that Marlon Brando’s rebellious gang leader, Johnny Strabler first rode onto the big screen on his 1950 Triumph Thunderbird 6T in biker classic The Wild One (or 1968 for British audiences), creating a monument to macho defiance and a craze for leather jackets. Fast forward 56 years later to 2009 and seemingly we still want to be part of Johnny’s gang, as Brando Enterprises (the company managing the late actor’s image) and Triumph Motorcycles have announced plans to design and produce a replica of the iconic leather jacket as seen on the movie biker. It will be a new addition for the Triumph Legends line of clothing and should be available from Triumph dealerships from 1st December.

Director explains why New York escapes demolition in 2012
Posted by Team Boxwish 8 days ago
If viewing new disaster flick 2012 is part of your plans this weekend (it hits cinemas from tomorrow), be prepared for non-stop cinematic carnage. Director Roland Emmerich has a proven flair for the destructive (Independence Day, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow) and is again giving the world a mighty ass-kicking in his latest blockbuster, with the likes of everything from the Washington Monument to the Christ the Redeemer statue coming off second best against the elements (though interestingly not Islamic site, the Kaaba in Saudi Arabia, read more about that in Related Content, right). But it’s not just those local to the Kaaba that are breathing a sigh of relief as the German director has revealed another familiar corner of the globe that hasn’t attracted his onscreen ire – New York City.

Fashion fix: Belstaff colonial shoulder bag from I Am Legend
Posted by Team Boxwish 8 days ago
We’ve long cast an appreciative eye over Belstaff’s contribution to cinema, the cooler-then-cool brand seemingly always responsible for the best jackets. Often leading us to think that if it’s a good-looking jacket, chances are it’s by Belstaff. Not that they limit themselves to only outerwear, as if you take a good look at 2007’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi film, I Am Legend, you’ll notice that the shoulder bag as sported by Will Smith’s Dr Robert Neville is by Belstaff. But we’re that one step ahead, as not only have we hunted down this must-have male accessory, we’ve also found some brilliant (and cheaper) lookalikes.

Steal Edward's look: His wardrobe secrets from The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Posted by Team Boxwish 9 days ago
In Twilight, Edward (Robert Pattinson) is the epitome of timeless elegance. The immortal vampire being outfitted in "well-fitted designer jeans, off the rack shirts that were tailored to fit in just the right way, a great classic black boot, American Apparel t-shirts and just the right kind of jacket,” so says the film’s costume designer, Wendy Chuck. And for its follow-up, The Twilight Saga: New Moon it was another helping of the same, albeit this time in the hands of new designer, Tish Monaghan.
