Here at Boxwish, we don’t like to play favourites, electing one film, movie star or product as superior to all the others and yet sometimes it can be tough to maintain such principles. Just take Zooey Deschanel (easy boys!), the actress has snagged the likes of Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell and Joseph Gordon-Levitt with her offbeat charms onscreen, impresses with her musical talents (she performs with jazz act, If All The Stars Were Pretty Babies and has sung in many of her movies) and has a fashion sense to kill for, though thankfully, we’re not prepared to go that far. Yes, it’s fair to say we’re firmly lodged in Camp Zooey (if such a thing were to exist) and so we’re taking a leaf out of her style book with her vintage blue coat from Yes Man.

This coat caused a style sensation when the Jim Carrey comedy at the end of last year, with hoards of eagle-eyed fashionistas eager to get their mitts on it. Sadly, it was a truly vintage piece and so wasn’t freely available, yet that hasn’t deterred us here at Boxwish and we’ve been busily beavering away to find some spot-on lookalikes. And we’re pretty pleased with our results.

From fashion hotspot, Urban Outfitters comes a cute military-inspired coat from Kimichi & Blue that boasts the navy blue fabric, red contrast trim, deep pockets and gold buttons from the onscreen original. While at ASOS.com is a slightly quirkier version by Dahlia that is complete with the same features, and also makes room for a hood (ideal in this wet weather!)

So there’s no need to head to your local thrift store or start customising existing items to get Zooey’s cool vintage vibe, just nab our lookalikes!
