Seriously scary movie-inspired Halloween pumpkins
Posted by Team Boxwish 21 days ago
A week ago, we first started planning how to turn the humble pumpkin into a Jack-O’-Lantern to be admired. Our source of inspiration was the fantastic website ZombiePumpkins.com (see Related Content, right), which, with 213 patterns (they’ve added two since we reported on them) brings together a multitude of movie characters, from heroes to villains and even with special categories such as the one focusing on Tim Burton films. And now we’ve found another top resource for all of you hoping to get knife-happy with your pumpkin, introducing the dastardly designs at Walyou.
This list doesn’t match ZombiePumpkins for number, with a few less at 130 and yet the quality is staggering. They too are broken down into categories, many of which riff on movies, including ones for Star Wars, horror movie tributes and geeky pumpkins, while there are others that follow a different direction such as video game themes. They’ve all been brought together from all corners of cyberspace and yet share an impressive level of imagination and exhibit enviable technical skills.
Again, we’re stumped to settle on a favourite. There’s no denying the power of Heath Ledger’s The Joker (pictured) and this is accompanied by many other top comic book ones, yet Halloween is the time for spooks and we think the horror collection comes out on top. Choose from established classics like Psycho and The Exorcist, those with fiendish franchises like Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street or add some orange spark to black and white masterpieces like Frankenstein and Nosferatu.
Check out the selection at the link below and try to settle on one for your Halloween celebrations – it’s not easy!
