He’s sadly gone, but never forgotten as Michael Jackson has made it an impressive on-two, the soundtrack to his film, This Is It following the film to the top of the charts. The movie, which brings together exclusive footage of the King of Pop rehearsing for his planned residence at London O2 arena, has been a worldwide phenomenon currently sitting atop the US and UK box offices and the accompanying soundtrack, a double CD which features the new single “This Is It”, along with other MJ classics, unheard demos and even a poetry reading, has followed suit, selling 373,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It knocks the soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: New Moon from the top spot, tumbling from number one to eight thanks to many other new entries from the likes of reformed rock band, Creed, and veteran singers Rod Stewart and Sting.
