Bid on the Batmobile
It’s auction time folks and look what we have here – the Batmobile. Okay, so this isn’t the one that Christian Bale rides about Gotham in, instead it turned up in Tim Burton’s second stab at the caped crusader, 1992’s Batman Returns. Five different Batmobiles were produced for the film and this one is apparently the third (what happened to the first two?) and is expected to fetch a pretty penny (past Batmobiles have sold for a whopping $550,000 in the past!) when it goes under the hammer at the Kruse International Auction Park in Auburn, Indiana, USA. Fancy stealing Batman’s wheels? Read on.
The sleek ride is the star attraction among 5,000 other motors at the 38th “World’s Largest Collector Car Auction and Show” to be held from 28th August to the 2nd September and comes with a certificate from Warner Brothers. So, if you’re an eager Batfan with a bank balance to shame Bruce Wayne, head on over to the Kruse website or call them on 00+1 800 968 4444. Just be prepared – at nearly six metres long and two and a half metres wide, it could be tricky to park.
