It’s that time again Boxwishers. You’ve managed to drag yourself through the slog of the working week and are busy wondering what to do with the exciting prospects that are Saturday and Sunday. Well, far be it from us to tell you what to do with your hard-earned freedom BUT we do have some cheery suggestions that could certainly brighten your weekend. New at cinemas this weekend there’s a perky rom-com, family fantasy adventure and sci-fi actioner. Float your boat? Read over for more.

If you see… Scary Movie’s Anna Faris star as a playboy bunny who, after getting booted out of the mansion, finds herself performing makeover magic on some unsightly students in breezy romantic comedy The House Bunny.

Why Not Find out what it’s really like to be a Playboy bunny with Bunny Tales, a naughty look at mansion life from one of Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriends Izabella St James. Inject some bunny sexiness into your look with our guide to the fashions of the film or party like the Zeta students and host your own wild Aztec bash.

If you see… City of Ember, a fantasy epic set in a post-apocalyptic underground world where the lights in the last human settlement are running out.

Why Not Read the 2003 novel by American writer Jeanne DuPrau that the film is based on or go further with its follow-ups, 2006’s The People of Sparks, this year’s The Diamond of Darkhold and its prequel The Prophet of Yonwood. Watch popular YouTube character Fred Figglehorn put his spin on the movie’s trailer here or have a go at some of the movie’s tie-in games on the official website.

If you see… The Punisher’s Thomas Jane and Hellboy’s Ron Perlman fight to save the world in the futuristic sci-fi adventure The Mutant Chronicles.

Why Not Put yourself in the thick of the action with the role-play game the film is based on. Watch some other steampunk films such as Wild Wild West, Van Helsing and Stardust. Or visit the film’s shooting locations on the Isle of Man.
