We’ve had press sagas about the stunts, the song and the onset scars but now scent is assuming centrestage as we rev up to the release of Quantum of Solace (just two more weeks to go!) We told you back in May about Avon’s plans for a perfume called Bond Girl 007 and now the flirty fragrance is with us. The bottle’s shape evokes the sexy curves synonymous with Bond’s women, while the scent itself is described by Avon as “velvety florals, cool freshness and warm wood.” Warm wood – is that what Gemma Arterton’s Agent Fields smells like?

Hot off small screen successes in Lost in Austen and Tess of the D’Urbervilles and big screen break-outs in St. Trinian’s and RocknRolla; Arterton beat 1,500 other hopefuls to become a Bond girl in Quantum of Solace and is now lending some 007 magic to the perfume’s promotional campaign. In the TV advert, she slinks about in a long black gown, spotting a tuxedoed gentleman in her mirror (clearly meant to be Bond, but fuzzy so that you don’t realise it’s not Daniel Craig) before clearly seducing him with her sexy scent.

The perfume is only available through Avon and sells for a very reasonable £16 – less than £20 to become a Bond girl? Bargain! On purchasing it you also get a free Bond girl bonus beauty bag which includes a lipstick and compact mirror. Get the perfume here and watch the advert below.
