Out of Sight named sexiest movie ever
Last month we were talking about the sexiest women in film, not just because we like to endlessly muse on such stuff but because men’s magazine GQ asked its readers to rate Tinseltown’s top totty (the poll is still open – vote here). And this month the sexy shenanigans continue as Entertainment Weekly has named its sexiest movies. The results are an interesting mix combining old and new movies, those starring real-life couples and even a smidgeon of the Seven Years’ War (cos nothing’s sexier than war, right?) And named the most erotic of the efforts is the onscreen sparks between George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez in Steven Soderbergh’s heist caper Out of Sight. Wanna know the sexy runners-up? Click over for the full countdown.
Coming in second is the oldest film on the list 1940’s His Girl Friday, a romantic comedy starring Rosalind Russell and Clooney’s predecessor in suave sophistication, Cary Grant. Taking bronze is the first pairing between an offscreen couple, 2005’s Mr and Mrs Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Hollywood’s current golden couple is followed by steamy southern neo-noir Body Heat in which Kathleen Turner’s femme fatale has fun with William Hurt’s small-town lawyer and fifth is baseball drama Bull Durham featuring another real-life pairing, this time it’s Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins.
The second half of the top ten is a more eclectic mix with acclaimed 70s thriller Don’t Look Now coming in at sixth. Controversial for the convincingly graphic quality of the sex scene between stars Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie that had many believing they actually made love on camera, its intense love scene was actually referenced in Out of Sight. Rounding out the rest of the list are the coming-of-age Mexican road movie Y tu mamá también at seventh, Michael Mann’s adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper’s classic novel the historical war epic The Last of the Mohicans at eighth, 1999’s 60s-set love story A Walk on the Moon starring Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen at ninth and lastly quirky cult favourite Before Sunset reuniting Julie Delpy’s Celine and Ethan Hawke’s Jesse nine years after they first met in Before Sunrise.
Over to you Boxwishers. Do any of these movies rank as your pick of cinema’s sexiest? Did Brad ‘n’ Ange’s modern mischief do it for you or do you prefer the more classical charms of Hollywood’s golden age? As always, leave a comment to let us know what films tickle your fancy – but keep it clean!

You have got to be kidding. Out of Sight? Please!!! There were much sexier movie than that incredibly stupid moving. George and Jennifer boring and had as much chemistry as a rabid dog. The sexiest movint by far was Body Heat. Turner and Hurt were spectacular in that movie. Don't believe it? Just check out the scene when Ned smashes through a window to deck Maddie. Fantastic and wild. George and Jenny would have never been able to pull that off!
