Introducing Alan - the unlikeliest of trendsetters.
Last year’s comedy smash hit, The Hangover was great for so many reasons – that Mike Tyson cameo, the naked Asian in the car boot and Heather Graham as a hot stripper (Roller Girl lives!) But one thing that’s proved unexpectedly popular about the fellas’ night in Vegas is the T-shirt as worn by Zach Galifianakis’s beardy-weirdy, Alan. And the best thing about this film fashion, which makes it stand head and shoulders above anything worn by the likes of James Bond, Wolverine or Tyler Durden – you’ll look better wearing it than the original movie star. Sorry Zach, but it’s true!
This tee has become a fashion phenomenon since Alan squeezed his belly into it, becoming last year’s most sought after T-shirt for Halloween (did you spot any wannabe Alan’s at your party?) However, it’s not just for special occasions, the T-shirt by funky label, Junk Food (they do the best retro and entertainment inspired stuff) becoming a bestseller which just becomes more and more sought-after as The Hangover reaches more people.
And we can see why everyone wants it. The graphic is just as odd as Alan (a man as a forest – hello?), but in such an effortless and cool way, combining coach potato with geek chic for a look that gets your attention without asking for it. Comfy to wear and with a distressed vibe that is stylishly spot-on, this movie must-have comes in a wide range of sizes and is sure to look good, with or without a baby carrier.
