Ensemble rom-com He’s Just Not That Into You is packed full of gorgeous fashions, but what do you expect when your cast includes such Tinseltown trendsetters as Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connolly, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Aniston? And it’s the latter, the former Rachel Green that gets to dazzle in this stunning sparkler as designed by top jewellery guru, Jennifer Meyer.
To eagle-eyed viewers of red carpet events, you might recognise the name as Meyer is the wife of Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and has a list of celebrity clients that includes such glamour pusses as Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson. She was named Jeweller of the Year by Us magazine in 2007 and scored a prominent screen credit when Kirsten Dunst wore her heart-shaped locket in Spider-Man 3, credentials that helped put her on the map.
However, it’s her work as flaunted on Jen that’s really helped establish her name, the big break coming (ironically) in The Break-Up as the former Mrs Brad Pitt wore Meyer’s signature 18-carat gold necklace with leaf pendant. She clearly loved Meyer’s work, flaunting the designer’s Heart and Key creation in doggie drama, Marley & Me and Jen’s back in Meyer jewellery (if it ain’t broke and all that jazz) for HJNTIY, as Beth long-time girlfriend of Ben Affleck’s Neil.
A gorgeous 18k gold wishbone necklace, this delicate and demure piece of jewellery is available in a variety of options (namely rose, white gold or yellow gold in either plain or decorated with diamonds or rubies) to help you find the perfect fit to complement your wardrobe. Sadly it’s not a necklace that Beth’s looking for, she’d prefer a ring on her finger and her frustrations at not being married are only brought to the surface as she wears the necklace while on bridesmaid duties.
Still, it helps her stand out as one of the most chic bridesmaids in movies. No easy task in coral silk.
Jennifer Aniston is too loyal to Jennifer Meyer jewellery and should try something new. What do you reckon?
