Gossip Girl’s Jenny Humphrey started out as a bit of an outsider, but the Little J we all know and love now is anything but. Having swapped her second hand clothes for designer labels and her own bespoke items, she’s become Queen of the Constance Billard School and holding her own in the war against Blair. With her trademark peroxide hair and dark eyes she’s got the rock chick look down perfectly, perhaps down to grungy actress Taylor Momsen who plays her. We spotted this great handbag Jenny was sporting recently in the season three episode Dan de Fleurette, and couldn’t take our eyes off it.
The bag in question is by label Be & D, a New York based luxury handbag brand who create amazing products with a “seamless blend of old-world craftsmanship and modern creative vision.” The Garbo bag that Jenny proudly wears is black leather and covered in both chunky and smaller studs – the perfect size for her school books while still suiting her rock-chick image. And coming in at well over $1000 we think Lily may have helped Rufus out a bit when it comes to allowances.
Studded handbags have been a wardrobe staple for a while now, both used to add to a tough look or harden a softer style. With all the frills and pastel colours coming in from spring we think you’ll need an edge to pull off the ultra feminine looks. And since it’s got two sets of straps its really versatile; wear it as a cross body bag when your hands are full of shopping, on your shoulder or thrown over your arm for a casual look.
If you can’t stretch to the Upper East Side price tag, we’ve found some more pocket friendly alternatives for you.
You can’t see the bag (damn!) but here’s the scene it was featured in.
