Last night The Hills, MTV’s spin off from the hugely popular reality series Laguna Beach, returned for its sixth season. Over the years we’ve watched as Lauren moved to Los Angeles to live with Heidi, made friends with Audrina and fell out with Heidi due to Spencer. Cue new friend Whitney and old friend Lo, who widen the gap between previous friends Lauren and Audrina. Enter Stephanie (Spencer’s sister) who only makes Lauren’s relationship with Heidi worse. With all this chopping and changing of friends it’s no wonder than Lauren decided to call it quits in the fifth series.

After attending Heidi and Spencer’s wedding and (sort of) accepting an apology from the pair, Lauren left to live her life off the small screen. But who would replace the leading lady from Laguna Beach, one of the existing cast? Nope, producers had other ideas and re-introduced original Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari. Since then Kristin has caused a fair bit of trouble with her co-stars, but she remains a popular cast member, and one of our fashion favourites.

Ever since Kristin gave Brody those sex toys at his birthday party Jayde has had a problem with her. So when they decided to sit down at Citizen Smith and talk things through, you didn’t actually think they’d kiss and make up did you? Of course not, Jayde tried to be civil but Kristin told her to keep Brody on a tighter leash and Jayde retaliated saying Kristin should go back to wherever she came from. And the war continues. It was clear the girls had made an effort for the occasion and Jayde was looking very femme fatale in a strapless black number with a layered gold chain necklace.

However, for us Kristin wins round one in the fashion face-off – wearing an effortlessly cool Rough Roses one shoulder tee and ALC military leather jacket. She looked dressed up but casual enough to show Jayde she hadn’t made too much of an effort to visit her. And the best part of her outfit? Her grey Genetic Denim ‘Shane’ cigarette jeans.
