Get flirty with Carrie Underwood's Single "Rocker" dress from How I Met Your Mother

Carrie Underwood has done pretty well for herself since winning the fourth season of American Idol back in 2005. She’s now a multi-platinum selling artist, a multiple Grammy winner and three-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Vocalist winner. You might think all of that would be enough for the beautiful young singer, but you’d be wrong since she’s decided to try her hand at acting. And her first foray into the world of television came in the brilliant sitcom How I Met Your Mother. She even wrote on her blog: "I’m giving up the music business and I’m going to become a professional sitcom actress! Just kidding, of course, but I did have a blast while I was there!”

In the episode ‘Hooked’ Carrie plays Tiffany, a pharmaceutical saleswoman and love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor). She also has a fantastic sequence where Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) explains the history of ‘hot-girl’ professions, from ‘gatherer’ in which she dressed up as a cavewoman, to flight attendant to her current position of ‘pharma-girl’. And we have to admit her air-hostess outfit was pretty cool in a retro way, but that wasn’t her best ensemble of the episode.

Ted decides to use a teacup pig as bait, at Barney’s suggestion, to get Tiffany to come over – and let’s face it who wouldn’t fall for that, it was so cute! And Carrie blogged: “I’m just glad I grew up on a farm because I think I was the only one who knew how to hold and wasn’t afraid of a little piglet!” But once there she tells Ted about her boyfriend and his friends decide that she’s hooked him. While the pig was cute and we were intrigued as to whether Tiffany could be ‘the mother’ it was her gorgeous red dress we were watching.

The red-ruffled number comes from brand Single, which aims to “reaffirm every woman’s zest for life, romance and luxury.” And this dress certainly does that, with its romantic ruffles and bright, fun shade it’s a great choice for a daytime date or evening out – or both! The ‘Rocker’ dress is a very flattering shape, and the studded snakeskin belt is sure add to the sexy-style. Team with simple black peeptoe pumps for the ‘hot pharma girl’ look to hook all the guys.
